MEXT Scholarship 2024-25 is a fully funded study grant for all international students to pursue higher education in Japan. Eligibility Criteria for MEXT Scholarship 2024-25

Students have to fulfill the following qualification, academic, and educational requirements to be eligible for a fully funded MEXT Scholarship:

Eligible Countries: All countries around the world.
English language proficiency certificate.
Students must have the nationality of a country that has diplomatic ties with Japan.
Applicants with Japanese nationality are not eligible for this scholarship.
The age limit for undergraduate students is 17-25 years and completed 12 years of high school education including prospective graduates.
For Masters and Ph.D. applicants, the age limit is under 35 years with completion of 16 years and 18 years of education in the relevant field.
For teacher training programs, applicants must be under 35 years of age and graduate from a teacher training college with a minimum of five years of active experience in primary, secondary, or teaching colleges of their own county.

How to Apply for MEXT Scholarship 2024

Applicants are asked to follow the application instructions:

Find the Japanese embassy in your country and visit for further proceedings.
Students can visit the official website of the Japanese embassy of their country under Education > Scholarship, and find the relevant search.
Download the scholarship application form and fill it out.
Submit all the required documents to the embassy in hard form.
The embassy will conduct a written test. You can check the Test Sample with Answers on the official website.
After passing the test, the applicant has to go through an Interview at the Embassy.

Verify your highest degree or grading system with official stamps.
12 years of education certificates for Bachelor’s program applicants.
